I've been down state since the 8th. John's mom gave me a personal bridal shower on the 9th. I had a prewedding hair trial on the 14th at my maid of honor's house. The 15th was my birthday and my younger brother's graduation (he's getting his bachelor's degree in accounting next year!) Then, the 16th my sister and sister-in-law gave me a bridal shower. It was a lot of fun; there were games and lots of food and I got a lot more gifts than I was expecting. We also helped my dad haul off 4 old, junk vehicles that have been sitting around for about a decade. It gave him a little extra money which is good. We also helped him get some wood...he always needs help getting wood since he can't do it himself anymore. They have a wood burning furnace that heats the house but since my dad can't run a chainsaw anymore, he has trouble getting all the wood he needs to last the winter. So, we try to help anytime we're down there. They're off to a good start for next winter thanks to John. Anyway, it's been a long 10 days and John and I are glad to be home.
Thursday is my final dress fitting. I have to get my wedding programs printed out and put together. We have to find a place to put the gifts we received at the two showers. I have to mail out Thank You's. I have to mail out invitations to the rehersal dinner. My bachelorette party is the 5th...that's going to be a lot of fun-knowing my sister and maid of honor ............Lots to do in the next 25 days.....Lots to do....I'll be glad when it's all done. Then we can get back to normal and I can start looking for work again. Need to make money to pay for this whole wedding and honeymoon thing.
