Christmas is Coming

Last night there was a Christmas party at the gym. I went there after I got off work around 8:45 pm. John & I stayed until a little after 11...of course, he was already drunk by the time I arrived. So I managed to get him home...and he flopped down on the couch...and then he threw up on the carpet....and I had to clean it up. So I'm rather annoyed with him. I figure he owes me big for that...I'm thinking--full body massage when I get home from work today. Yep. That ought to make up for it. :D

In other news, I applied to the Art Institute of Pittsburg-online division for a Bachelor's degree in Photography...and I got accepted!!! :w00t: Now all I need is to get approved for the student loan I need to cover the cost...:(

The cruise was wonderful...except that I got sick. We went to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Grand Cayman...both were lovely. We were in the water with stingrays-it was so cool!!!!! :w00t: It was such lovely weather-warm and sunny...we came home to cool, cloudy, rainy weather...:(. Oh well. The wedding on the ship was nice; it was small and simple but nice. The captain came down and married them-which was cool.

It's hard to believe it's already November...where in the world did the year go??? I suppose it has been a busy year for me...getting married and all...but still! :faint:

I've had to miss the past two days of work because I have a bad cough...not a good idea to be cooking and coughing every 5 minutes. I don't want to miss anymore work though, so I'm going to take some Mucinex and hope it gets rid of my cough long enough for me to go to work this afternoon.

Well, I suppose it's time to start Christmas shopping...if we can afford it this year. I do love the holidays...even if it does ruin my eating habits. :cookie:

Hearing *EDIT*, Honeymoon, & Holidays

I'm finally getting around to posting shots from my honeymoon in Ireland! :w00t: I'm only going to be posting a few per day though-don't want to swamp anyone's message center!

*This coming Monday I have to be in Grand Rapids for the hearing about our wedding DJ...I hope the judge rules in our favor. He/she should, but I'm still rather anxious about it. I have to take off two days of work to go to it, too.
***EDIT**** Ok, so we found out this morning that the guy we're suing refused to sign for the papers. So, no hearing on Monday! :chainsaw: We have to refile the paperwork and pay to have a court officer serve him the papers. :frustrated: He's obviously only doing this because he knows he has no case and is trying to avoid paying us as long as possible. Can you say A**HOLE!!!! :fork:

John doesn't have work yet, but hopefully he will soon. There are a couple jobs coming up that he may be able to get on-keep your fingers crossed for him please!

It's hard to believe that it's already September! Where did '09 go? Fall is nearly upon us and I haven't done a single manipulation! Well, other than the selective coloring of a couple photos, but that doesn't really count. I haven't done anything seasonal or holiday related all year. *shakes head in shame* I suppose I should get off my butt and do something for fall and Halloween then, huh? I suppose I have been doing things with my stock account though-I've been getting a lot of requests this year and that has been keeping me busy. But still, I feel like I'm slacking on this account-though I do believe my photography is improving a bit.

I think I'm going to go through my collections and find some fun autumn stock and do something with it. Then I'm going to do a few seasonal stock packs. I'm feeling very fall-ish...(ok, I know that's not a word but...oh well). Maybe I'll even do something for winter and/or Christmas! I'd say to wish me luck, but it's more like I need someone to crack a whip.

Lots of love to my friends and watchers, as always. :glomp: :blowkiss:

Check out my stock account too :iconmadness-live-stock:

The honeymoon is over and John and I are back home! Yay...it's so nice to be home. The wedding went well-it was a gorgeous day, the only problem was with the DJ-who apparently had a heart attack on his way up-so we had to find someone else-at 6pm...after the reception had already started....grrr....and now he won't give us our money back (the dj we had originally hired). He's being an absolute ass about it-he's saying that a heart attack is an "act of God" so he doesn't have to give us our money back-he's just being a major dick...we're going to ask John's aunt-who works for a law firm-to see if she can do anything to help us out. I mean, any decent person if something like that happened and they couldn't perform their services would just give you a full refund (it is in the contract after all). He's saying that we broke the contract by not paying him the final amount before the event, but if he had showed up at 4:30 (like he said he was going to so he'd have time to set up before the event-which was at 5:30) there was a check waiting for him on the table-so he would have been paid before the contracted time-so what's the problem?? He had to actually show up to get paid though....:chainsaw: Anyway, hopefully we'll get this straightened out and get our money back soon. The guy that my friend knew from Boyne City, drove over on short notice and dj'd for us-he was great-I'd definitely recommend HIM.
The rest of the wedding and reception went well though-the food was good, the cakes were delicious, the flowers were beautiful. The honeymoon is Ireland was great too-we had good weather for nearly the entire trip! It was gorgeous over there-we had so much fun. Now it's back to reality. John doesn't have work right now, I need to find a job, and after leaving our dogs at his parent's for almost two weeks-they got fat and both need to lose at least 1 pound (which is a lot for a dog that's only supposed to weigh 8.5 or 9 pounds).
After I sort through the nearly 5000 photos I took in Ireland, I'll upload the best ones. Lots of love to my friends and watchers!!! :glomp:
